Ford and GM have come to fisticuffs!

Have at thee!
Well, their social media managers have, anyway.
This friendly photo was taken at BrandCamp 2009, and shows Ford’s social media manager Scott Monty playing at fisticuffs with GM’s social media manager Chris Barger.
Both auto companies have done well picking these fellows as their face on social media marketing: they’re both congenial gentlemen with grand senses of humor and that fun-loving Detroit spirit.

This was good news to wake up to on a Saturday morning!
BrandCamp University 2009

Hajj Flemings gets the crowd going with his presentation
This past weekend we shot Brand Camp University 2009 at Lawrence Tech in Southfield, MI. This was our second year shooting this phenomenal conference that brings together the best and brightest minds in business, marketing, PR, and social media from the Detroit area and beyond. The energy and excitement of the guest speakers and the attendees is contagious, and we were able to get so many great photos because of it. In addition, we got to work side-by-side with the very excellent Paul Manoian.
The speakers were incredibly engaging; all of them were a joy to photograph, because one can see the passion and strength of their presentations in their faces and hand gestures. Every single speaker was charismatic and powerful.
The attendees were no slouches, either! The tight-knit closeness of the Detroit-area business and social media community made for many excellent candid moments. Laughter, smiles, shenanigans, and goofy moments were found everywhere, highlighting the unique character and flavor of our wonderful region.
For a great wrap-up of the event, see Nikki Stephan’s blog. We can’t wait to join Hajj Flemings, Brandon Chesnutt, and the rest for Brand Camp 2010!
The venue was perfect; Lawrence Tech is an awesome place for a photographer to be. The infrastructure is a dream come true–power outlets everywhere and an blazingly fast, rock-solid WiFi network made for zero technical headaches, which really makes things much less stressful when you’re shooting for 8 hours.
If you’d like us to bring the same enthusiasm, energy, and creativity to your event that we exhibited at Brand Camp, give us a call!
